We always think of Spring as the time to open up all the windows and doors, air out the house and begin the yearly task of deep cleaning our homes.
Let's be honest, most people don't want to be inside cleaning while the sun is shining and the air is fresh. I think Fall is another perfect time to start deep cleaning our homes since we're stuck inside on cold or rainy days and wearing sweatpants anyways! I'm sure the phrase of "Fall Cleaning" would catch on just as well as "Spring Cleaning."
And don't leave out the family! Get them involved in the chores too. Like Mary Poppins said "In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun!"
Here's a list of ideas to help kick start the deep cleaning of your home:
 

  • CLEAN WINDOWS

  • DUST

  • VACUUM BEHIND AND UNDER FURNITURE

  • WASH OUT GARBAGE CANS

  • CLEAN LIGHT FIXTURES

  • CLEAN OUT REFRIDGERATOR AND FREEZER

  • THROW AWAY EXPIRED FOOD/SPICES FROM PANTRY

  • DONATE OLD CLOTHES AND TOYS

  • PUT AWAY SUMMER CLOTHES AND SHOES TO MAKE ROOM FOR FALL/WINTER ATTIRE
